Located at the foot of the Adirondack Mountains in Rome, New York,

The Convent: Angels Nest Bed & Breakfast is an establishment rich in history and eclectic charm.  The original building that stood on the corner of George and Henry Streets was a two-story building remodeled from the original rectory. Home to the Felician Sisters who lived in tight, inconvenient quarters for twenty-seven years, the parishioners of The Transfiguration of Our Lord joined together to build a new convent for the Sisters. After raising the necessary funds through Sunday collections and contributions from certain parish members, Mr. Harold G. Rice was selected as the architect to design a home that would meet the needs of the Felician Sisters. The original building had to be removed before the breaking of the ground for the new convent took place on July 4, 1950. The Sisters were able to move in on September 7, 1950 after an impressive ceremony where the Most Reverend Bishop Foery blessed and laid the cornerstone.

After serving as a convent, the establishment was resurrected as a bed and breakfast but to this day, retains some of the original features of the convent including the non-denominational chapel, complete with pews and stained glass windows.
